Privacy Policy
This policy describes what the STITCHWORK app ("the app", "we") does with information when you play it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
1. What we do not collect
- No account, e-mail address or phone number is required or requested.
- No access to your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or precise location.
- No analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no social-network SDK.
- Game progress is never uploaded anywhere — there is no server to upload it to.
2. What is stored on your device
The app keeps a small save file in the app's private storage (Android
localStorage). It contains:
- your level progress, which patterns you have finished, and your current pattern;
- your settings: language, sound, chosen thread finish, "Quiet Mode" flag;
- a local list of the products you have bought, so the app knows what to unlock offline;
- timestamps used for the daily pattern and the free-gift cooldown.
This data stays inside Android's per-app sandbox. It is removed when you uninstall the app or use Settings → Reset progress.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows rewarded video ads only — they play when you choose to watch one, never as an interruption. Interstitial and banner ads are not used.
Ads are served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure them, Google may process:
- your device's advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / AAID) and app-set ID;
- device information such as model, operating-system version and language;
- your IP address, from which an approximate (city-level) location may be derived;
- whether an ad was shown, watched to completion, or clicked.
This information is processed by Google as an independent controller/processor under its own terms. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Personalised vs. non-personalised. Where the law requires it (EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil and similar), the app shows a Google-certified consent form on first launch. Personalised advertising is only used if you agree. If you decline, you still get ads — they are just not based on your advertising ID.
You can change or withdraw that choice at any time: in-game Settings → Ad privacy. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
4. Purchases (Google Play Billing)
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive your name, card number or billing address. What the app receives is a product identifier, the purchase state, and an opaque purchase token that it uses to confirm the entitlement and to record it locally. Google's handling of payment data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Children
The app is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ads are not tagged as child-directed. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will help you remove it.
6. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
- Consent — personalised advertising and the storage of advertising identifiers for that purpose. Withdrawable at any time (see §3).
- Legitimate interests — serving non-personalised ads, preventing ad fraud, and keeping the app working.
- Contract — delivering the content you purchased.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Because we hold no personal data on a server, most requests are satisfied simply by uninstalling the app or using the in-app reset. For anything else, write to mybook1234567@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
8. Retention
Local save data: until you uninstall or reset. Advertising and purchase records held by Google: according to Google's own retention periods, which we do not control. We retain nothing ourselves.
9. Security
Because the app transmits no personal data to us, there is no account database to breach. Local save data is protected by Android's application sandbox. Ad and purchase traffic is carried over HTTPS by Google's SDKs.
10. International transfers
Google processes advertising and purchase data on its global infrastructure, which may involve transfers outside your country under the safeguards described in Google's privacy terms. We make no transfers of our own because we hold no data.
11. Changes
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes and the new version is published at this address. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the update.
